Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Writers-Publishing.com, contact us by email for our postal address. Contact: hello@writers-publishing.com.
What we collect, and why
When you ask for a free resource (for example, The Four-Hour Version), we collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use them to send you what you asked for and, because you ticked the box, occasional notes on craft and publishing.
Proof of your consent. Together with your address we store the date and time, your IP address and the exact text of the consent you accepted. We keep this record so we can demonstrate that you asked to hear from us.
When you use the Superaxis Scorecard, your scores stay in your browser and in the link you create. If you ask us to email the scorecard, we use your address to send that one email; we only add you to a list if you tick the consent box.
When you email us a manuscript, we use your email and your manuscript only to evaluate it and to reply.
Legal basis
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the resources and emails, which you can withdraw at any time; and the steps you ask us to take before any agreement (Article 6(1)(b)) when you submit a manuscript.
Double confirmation and unsubscribing
We never send the resource straight away: we first email you a confirmation link. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link that does not ask for a password.
Who processes the data for us
Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France, EU) sends our emails and stores the mailing list. Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the consent record. Both act as processors under data processing agreements. We do not sell or share your address with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Your address stays on the list until you unsubscribe. The consent record is kept while you are subscribed and afterwards for as long as we may need to prove that consent was given.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Visit statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction or objection to its processing, and its portability, by writing to hello@writers-publishing.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority.
